SAfari In the MasAi Mara
For years I have dreamed of going on a Safari in Africa and seeing these incredible animals in their natural habitat. On my 30th birthday my dream came true and it was more incredible than I could have ever imagined.
After almost two days of travel we finally got to the Masai Mara in Kenya. We felt like we were in the real life Lion King with open plains as far as the eyes could see and majestic animals roaming near and far.
. We stayed at Governors Camp Collection right in the heart of the Masai Mara and we could see Hippos sun bathing in the river right below us and were often greeted by warthogs routinely snacking on grass near our tent. During the night we would wake up to lions roaring in the distance and Elephants gently making their way around the camp.
Our time in the Masai Mara was magical, this was my first time photographing wildlife and I can tell you it definitely will not be my last. Learning so much about the way of life for these animals and getting to see moments like mama lions caring for their babies made me feel more connected to our world than I ever felt before and made me even more excited to capture these extraordinary animals.
