berkeley & dougie's dream engagement

In the summer of 2025 Dougie reached out to me about finally asking the love of his life to marry him.

He didn't know how he wanted to do it but he knew it had to be memorable and it had to capture the essence of who Berkeley is. After learning of their love story and everything he loved about Berkeley, I helped him devise a plan that would give her the engagement she had always dreamed of.

Set in one of her favorite places in the world - Discovery Park in Seattle we would surprise her with a floor arch of her favorite white flowers on the cliff with the ocean as the backdrop.

She thought we were just doing a simple photoshoot, I led them to other beautiful areas around the park with wildflowers glowing against the setting sun. It was not until we turned the corner and she saw the beautiful flower arch that she knew something wonderful was about to happen.

Berkeley with tears streaming down her face of course said yes to Dougie asking her to marry him. The two were overjoyed and described it as a moment they would never forget.

Being able to capture such a significant moment in their lives and seeing them filled with so much happiness is such an honor and reminded me of just how incredible it is to have a job where through my photos they can relive this special memory over and over again for the rest of their lives.
